“Tau” chasuble

Made from a lightweight, very soft polyester fabric.
This chasuble has been designed to commemorate St Francis on the 800th anniversary of his death.
The basis of the design is its simplicity.
The chasuble has no collar, to allow friars to wear the hood of their habit over it.
The Tau embroidery ‘born’ from the cross using a technique involving a jute cord fixed in a zigzag pattern.
A delicate radiance of gold thread encircles the cross.
The embroidery is on the two sides.
Comes complete with a stole.
